An Attitude of Gratitude
28 Ways Keeping a Daily Journal Could Change Your Life
By Benjamin P. Hardy | October 21, 2016 |
“The life of every man is a diary in which he means to write one story, and writes another; and his humblest hour is when he compares the volume as it is with what he vowed to make it.”  —J.M. Barrie
You know exactly what you want in life. But you can’t seem to get there. You have all these resolves:
I’m going to get healthy.
I’m going to write that book.
Journaling increases your gratitude.
Even if you start a journal session in a bad mood, the insight writing brings has a subtle way of shifting your mind toward gratitude.
When you start writing what you’re grateful for, new chambers of thought open in the palace of your mind. You’ll often need to put your pen down and take a few breaths. You’ll be captivated not only by the amazing things in your life, but by the awe and brilliance of life in general.
As part of your morning and post-work journaling sessions, be sure to include some gratitude in your writing. It will change your life orientation from scarcity to abundance. The world will increasingly “become your oyster.”
Gratitude journaling is a scientifically proven way to overcome several psychological challenges. The benefits are seemingly endless. Here are just a few:
Gratitude makes you happier.

W.D. Gann's Reading List
W. D. GANN'S
RECOMMENDED READING LIST
The following books come from W. D. Gann’s recommended reading list which was released to his students in 1946 as the fundamental background reading for any serious student of market forecasting. Many of these books are extremely rare, and we are proud to make available the largest selection of these books ever offered since Gann’s time. Many of these books have been out of print for half a century, and most are not available through any other source. We are currently reorganizing these selections into collections combining complete works of one author, or topically similar titles, to provide these essential resources as accessible prices. Check the Seeker's Sanctum for changing prices and availability.

Why so Many Developers Quit Before Ever Getting a Job. Please — don’t.
“Prototypes, objects, algorithms…those small steps between steps you don’t know how to implement.
Grrr…thinking like a programmer.”
Finish this sentence:
My last coding session was…
Smooth as silk. I sat down comfortably, fired up my editor and dove into the lovely world of 0s and 1s. Those 3 hours passed like 30 minutes!
Sooo boring. I barely forced myself to sit down and code. Nothing quite worked very well, errors were popping all the time and still not everything makes sense to me. These 30 minutes felt like 3 hours!
My guess is answer #2.
And not because it’s so common and also has happened to me (even after 8 years of programming).
12 Reasons to Pursue a Software Testing Career
Software testing gets a bad rap. But, people that don’t think a software testing career is rewarding, challenging, and fun surely aren’t software testers. In fact, most testers really love their jobs, and wouldn’t give it up for any job in the world.
When considering which direction to take your career next, here are a few reasons you should think about pursuing a software testing career.
It’s challenging – Testing is not easy — there are constantly puzzles and problems to solve. The job will likely bring something new every day. If you prefer a boring job where you don’t have to think too much then don’t pursue a software testing career. But if you want a job that keeps you on your toes, anyone will tell you that testing is a really great choice.
It’s important – Testers don’t always get enough recognition for the work they do, but we’d be lost without them. As a tester, you’re advocating the end user and making sure that they’re being delivered a quality pro
Q
What are some advantages of using Ruby on Rails?
A
Famed coder Yukihiro “Matz” Matsumoto designed Ruby to make programmers “happy”—Rails affords you all the advantages of Ruby, including simple syntax, an extensive library, and a quickly growing community. Here are some advantages to look for in the developer’s answer.
Programmer Productivity: The Ruby framework isn’t called “Rails” for no reason—testimonies abound around the web on how Rails can quickly carry an app from conception, through development, and into production in record speed.
Built-In Testing: Rails enables developers to use supporting code called harnesses and fixtures to quickly draft simple extendable automated tests.
Open-Source: Rails is open-source and 100% free, and its compatibility with Linux means there are many open-source options available when constructing your solution stack.
Metaprogramming: The ability to write code that acts on code rather than data can be a huge advantage, and Rails makes it easy.
