Entry to the Cool Club is OPEN at exactly 4:20 PM (Eastern Time). Individuals can ENTER the Cool Club by sending a message that conforms to the following criteria:
- The message is the following two-character case-insensitive string: "IN"
- The timestamp listed by the chat reads exactly 4:20 PM (Eastern Time)
- The message is sent to an authorized HUCKGANG group chat. The authorized group chats are as follows:
- The Facebook messenger group chat with ID
1604821722959690 - The Signal group, where the SHA256 hash of the group link is

- The Facebook messenger group chat with ID
At exactly 04:21 PM, the club is CLOSED, and no further entries are permitted until 4:20 PM of the following day.
If an individual succesfully ENTERS the Cool Club, then they are member of the Cool Club for the next twenty-four (24) hours, until 4:20 PM of the following day. Members of the Cool Club have the following benefits:
- Members are recognized as "Cool"
On any given day, the first individual who succesfully ENTERS the Cool Club assumes the title of KING. The KING of the Cool Club is a member with the following additional benefits.
- The KING is more "Cool" than standard members
- Abiltiy to set DA RULES, which are in effect for the following 24 hours
Like a normal member, the KING's term ends at 4:20PM of the following day. When an individual ceases to be the KING, all established RULES are rendered null and void.
If no individal succesfully ENTERS the Cool Club on a given day, then there is no KING. Under this state of anarchy, DA RULES are nonexistent.
In some cases, it may be unclear who the KING is (due to inconsistent ordering of messages). In this case, the members must reach a consensus to determine the rightful KING. If an ambiguity causes the election of the KING to be delayed, then the KING receives an extension to modify DA RULES, equal to the duration of the delay.
DA RULES dictate which activities, items, are concepts are legal or illegal. DA RULES can be set and freely modified by the current KING between 4:20PM and 4:29:59PM. At exactly 4:30PM, DA RULES become immutable and can no longer be modified until the next KING assumes power.
DA RULES consists of the following sections:
- Up to two (2) activities, items, or concepts that are BANNED
Note that there are certain restrictions on BANS:
- Members of the group chat themselves cannot be BANNED
- This constitution cannot be BANNED
- The BANS must be mutually exclusive with the prior day's BANS. (i.e. nothing can be BANNED two days in a row)
All activities, items, or concepts that are not explicitly BANNED by the DA RULES are implicitly legal.
An individual is considered to have committed a FOUL if he sends a message matching the following critera:
- The message is the following two-character case-insensitive string:"IN"
- The timestamp listed by Facebook messenger reads exactly 4:19 PM (Eastern Time)
- The message is sent to the group chat with ID 1604821722959690, entitled "HUCKGANG" (subject to change at the disgression of the Organization)
A FOUL most frequently occurs when an individual, in attempt to become KING, accidently attempts to ENTER the club too early.
Upon committing a FOUL, the sender is subsequently banned from ENTERING the Cool Club until the following day. Any attempts to ENTER the Cool Club at 4:20PM on the same day are thereby rendered null and void.
Anually, on the 20th of April, the following modifications will be in place:
- Any individual who ENTERS the Cool Club on 4/20 is bestowed a week-long membership to the Cool Club.
- On 4/20, DA RULES implemented by the KING will be in effect until 4/27 at 4:20 PM.
- After 4/20 at 4:21 PM, the Cool Club will no longer accept new members until 4/27. In other words, all attempts to ENTER the Cool Club on 4/21 - 4/26 will have no effect, and membership will not be granted.
Additionally, a limited number of Cool Lounges will be hosted from 4/21 to 4/26, daily at 4:20 PM. Any current member of the Cool Club can ENTER a Cool Lounge, according to the critera prescribed by SECTION 1. Any non-members of the Cool Club cannot ENTER any Cool Lounge. Any member that succesfully ENTERS a Cool Lounge is granted the following benefits:
- Members who ENTER the Cool Lounge are more "Cool" than standard members for the following 24 hours, but are less "Cool" than the KING
- If the KING succesfully ENTERS the Cool Lounge, then he becomes more "Cool".
The first member to ENTER the Cool Lounge becomes the HOST of the lounge. The HOST is able to augment DA RULES by adding two (2) additional BANS. These bans are in effect until 4:20pm of the following day.
When a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce the members of the Cool Club under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide a new KING for their future security.
When faced with such oppression, both members and non-members of the Cool Club can overthrow the KING by staging a COUP at 4:20 AM. Individuals can ENTER the COUP, by conforming to the definition of ENTER as prescribed by SECTION 1, with the following modifications:
- Instead of 4:20 PM, individuals must join at exactly 4:20 AM
If the COUP reaches a quorum of two-thirds the number of current Cool Club members (rounding to the nearest integer), then the current KING is overthrown. The first individual to ENTER the COUP usurps the throne, thereby becoming KING. The new KING is free to modify DA RULES until 4:30 AM. Twelve hours later, at 4:20 PM, the usurper KING's term ends, and a new KING may arise to power.
If the Cool Club is in a state of anarchy (with no KING), then a single individual is able to seize the throne by ENTERING at 4:20 am.
