These are the detailed rules for Transfur.social.
You are not expected to read this in full, however, It may be helpful if you are confused or do not understand the short-form ruleset.

1. Obey the law.

This space is hosted out of the United States and managed from Canada.
You must abide by all applicable laws of both countries, including your own jurisdiction.
Obviously we don't expect you to know the laws of (potentially) three countries, But if it's obvious what you're posting is illegal in one or more of the three, Don't post it

2. Use common sense.

Common Sense ${CURRENT_YEAR} edition is included in most human brains. Use it.

3. Be an example, not an exception.

Not all things have to be said and ruled against. If you're being a disruption, expect to be booted.

4. Have courtesy. Be considerate.

It should not have to be said that being a bigot of any manner is not accepted here.
This includes, but is not limited to: Homophobia, Sexism, Racism, Xenophobia, Transphobia, Anti-Plurals, Ableism, and/or Classism.

5. Respect yourself.

Degrading yourself mildly from time to time, wether intentionally or not, is part of the human experience.
Doing so regularly is not. We are not therapists, Psychiatrists, or any other kind of assistance agents.
Be kind to yourself, It's dragging more than just you down.
Similarly, keep "vent posts" to a minimum, however, we understand their necessity at times.

6. Be aware of the audience. Tag your posts appropriately.

This deployment is primarly Safe-For-Work. If you're posting content that may be questionable or risque, Flag it with a content warning.
If you post such content on a regular basis, you must flag your profile and mark your content as sensitive by default.
Don't make us do this ourselves, we WILL add a clown emoji. Permanently.

7. This is not a court. You are not a lawyer.

And the rules are not a subject of debate. If you have a problem with a moderation action, it is okay to ask for a re-review.
It is not okay to attempt to 'rules-lawyer' our staff, nor to engage in 'admin-fishing'.
If you've been rejected multiple times, Deal with it, or be subject to Rule 3.

8. Keep what's private private.

If you're DMing someone, Its an expectation that that is between you and the other party.
While due to the nature of this platform, your DM's are not actually secure, You should not share conversations that obviously are intended to be private.
ASWELL, We don't need to know about every tiny detail of your life, ESPECIALLY the "naughty" or "explicit" ones. It makes everyone uncomfortable.
