Text Editor

The software we'll be using for remote programming has plugins for the following text editors:

  • Emacs
  • Sublime Text
  • Vim

Sublime text allows you to use it for free, with a nag screen; otherwise you can use the online text editor that comes with floobits. The onine editor is alright.

Pairing Software

  • Floobits account
  • Install Floobits extension for the editor you are using
  • Screenhero
  • Google Hangouts
  • Please ensure that your webcam is working, or can use a smartphone with hangout support
  • If you have a nice set of headphones that would be nice
  • too, helps keep background noise down
  • I'll DM you the hangout link once I get it set up in before we meetup
