Today I got a lovely email from a casting agency who thought I wasn’t man enough! Below is the email (bottom) and my reply (top).

I’m afraid I’m hosting a series of tea parties and knitting events starting late 2012 right through until the spring of 2013, so I wouldn’t be available for Man Camp. Plus I imagine that America in January would be far too cold (and dry out my skin, which I take great pride in). I also don’t like the idea of hunting; it would be pretty hypocritical considering my family of rabbits I love and look after, and the charity work I do at the local cattery.
Best of luck in finding some wimpy guys who need to shoot things and stuff!

I hope you don’t mind me contacting you out of the blue, I found your details online.
I am working on a new television series, and looking for men who would love to be more manly. As part of the programme, the chosen men will travel in the New Year to America to a Man Camp for six weeks, where they will be taught how to become more macho / masculine. This will include events such as hunting, shooting, and fishing, being just a few to mention.
I have attached a flier, which explains the programme in slightly more detail, but I would really appreciate speaking to you if this is something that you think you may be interested in. Or if not then perhaps you may know of someone?
