Web Literacy Map 2.0: community survey
Thank you for agreeing to complete this short survey about version 2.0 of Mozilla's Web Literacy Map. This is a list of the skills and competencies that Mozilla and the community believe it's important to pay attention to if you want to get better at reading, writing and participating on the web. It's used to underpin our work around Webmaker, but anyone can use the map!
There are five proposals on the pages that follow. All questions are optional, and you don't have to give us your name or location. You'll be asked to indicate on a scale from 1-5 the extent to which you agree with the proposals. There's also space for comments.

Proposal 1 - reference the Mozilla manifesto
Mozilla's mission is to promote openness, innovation & opportunity on the Web. We have a manifesto based on 10 principles that you can find at mozilla.org/about/manifesto.
I believe the Web Literacy Map should explicitly reference the Mozilla manifesto.

Proposal 2 - rename the three strands
Mozilla defines web literacy as the skills and competencies needed for reading, writing and participating on the web. In v1.1 of the Web Literacy Map, the three strands have the following titles and descriptors:
* Exploring (navigating the web)
* Building (creating for the web)
* Connecting (participating on the web)
I believe the three strands should be renamed 'Reading', 'Writing' and 'Participating'.

Proposal 3 - look more like a 'map'
The text version of the Web Literacy Map is a list of skills and competencies. The graphical version is a grid of competencies which can be clicked on to reveal skills and resources.

* webmaker.org/resources
I believe the Web Literacy Map should look more like a 'map'.

Proposal 4 - include cross-cutting themes
There are a number of concepts that we recognise as important but which are neither represented on the Web Literacy Map nor mentioned in the way that it is presented at webmaker.org.
I believe that concepts such as 'Mobile', 'Identity', and 'Protecting' should be represented as cross-cutting themes in the Web Literacy Map.

Proposal 5 - add a 'remix' button
The Web Literacy Map is available under a Creative Commons license and exists in a GitHub repository. However, there is currently no way to remix it via webmaker.org.

I believe a 'remix' button should allow me to remix the Web Literacy Map for my community and context.
