Setting Up Our Music Server
Music server live install:
-1) didn't have microSD to SD card, put micro in Z10 to flash image
0) flashed openelec/geekbox, didn't do enough of what we wanted
1) debianjesse took too long to download
2) debian wheezy we abandoned
3) arch worked well, then it didn't
4) broke sd card
5) Blackberry wouldnt format it
6) formatted with Galaxy S2
7) Tried to Download Ubuntu 14.04 on my linux desktop, not 5G and is taking too long
8) Mac is a/b/g/n so started download there
8.5) still too slow, abandon
8.7) my linux desktop was too far away so try flashing with mac
9) S2 couldnt connect to Mac, put SD back in Z10
10) flashed wheezy to SD using Mac via Blackberry
11) Everything but sound working
12) installed all debian sound dependencies, ran pulseaudio start
13) sound works, along with a high pitch dog call
14) couldnt stop
15) its so loud
16) oh god
16.5) killing pulseaudio wont stop it
17) killing all audio processes wont stop it
18) removing pulseaudio and alsa wont stop it
19) we reboot
20) 10 seconds of peace, then it starts again automatically, my god its in the startup processes
21) investigate possible boot processes
22) We're not going to make it through the night
23) Removed all audio related packages, killed mplayer and it silenced
24) reinstalled everything, no sound.
25) Our backup plan of installing Ubuntu 14.04 is postponed because the guy hosting the file on his server has gone to bed and shut it off
26) like sisyphus i am bound to hell
