* Date of feedback conversation:
* "7/11/17"
* How did you prepare for the conversation?
* "I wrote down some of the best aspects of the paring. I wrote down areas we could improve on. Then I wrote down my feelings from the pairng."
How did the conversation go for you?
* "The conversation went very well. I told Nick about how I looked up to him and how he thought process has made me think about coding in new ways. Specifically how he makes complicated problems easier by thinking of them in basic functional terms. He told me about how he felt really comfortable working with me and how he enjoyed my enthusiasm for taking on new tasks."
What was easy about the conversation?
* "We we both very honest and open to eachother's feedback. We did not pass judgement and tried to use empathy to see eachother's opinions from eachother's point of view."
* What was more difficult?
* "I actually had no real issues speaking or recieving feedback from Nick. He and I were able to be honest and open which was very helpful as taking eachother's point of view professtionally and not personally."
* What principles of feedback did you use in the conversation?
* "I believe Nick and I both were concious of the intent vs impact. We both choose our words carefully keeping in mind what we were saying and how we were saying it. I think we were trying to be conscious of blind spots. Making sure we were accidently showing a facial cue, or using a tone that would misrepresent our intent."
* Any other comments:
* "I think our partnership went well adn we were able to give feedback that was useful and respected."
