- Places I enjoy / local recommendations after conferences there at that venue in Raleigh:
- Apple Maps Guide
- Seaboard Cafe (chill place for some picnic food next to a railroad yard - is pretty close and has outdoor seating)
- Plus Dual Dueling Piano Bar (food around the area)
- Any of the arcade bars nearby for an arcade crawl (food nearby around the area).
- Bosphorous (technically Cary, NC but worth the trip if you are heading back towards Charlotte and need dinner! Best Turkish / Mediterranean food i've had)
Other local recommendations:
- Mr. A's Beignets
- Bosphorus (Turkish)
- Taipei 101 (Chinese)
- Andia's Ice Cream (Ube is amazing)
- Press (Durham location; coffee/crepes)
- Dame's Chicken and Waffles
- Boba Baba
- Boxyard RTP (lots of options; I've only tried the pizza place and it's not bad)
- Morgan Street Food Hall
- Gravy (Italian)
- Tesoro (Italian, Fancy place, needs reservations)
- Mez (Mexican Cafe)
- Cup of Joe is a neat coffee place on Hillsborough street near NC State (edit: - they have boba and good breakfast food!)
- Morning Times (8 min walk from convention center)
- Benny Capitale’s (gigantic ny style pizzas) + Boxcar Bar + Arcade - (purely entertainment, retro arcade bar)
And ofc while you are here in NC and not around here, you can always grab a cookout tray on your way home :D
- P.S. Join me at Triangle Rock Club - Durham - Wed 16th, 2023 and Bosphorus after (in guide linked above).
