Counterparty Community Outreach Manager 2023


Counterparty, a historical and innovative platform for peer-to-peer markets and financial instruments, is looking for a dynamic Community Outreach Manager to work with the Counterparty Developers and Community to drive engagement, inform and support the community, and help grow awareness and ingenuity of the Counterparty platform.


Immediate Task List:

  • Create a new extensive updated Counterparty FAQ Page with text and video tutorials for all current Counterparty and Freewallet functions

  • Begin updating https://docs.counterparty.io/ to include the most recent function and FAQ’s and begin recommending Freewallet.io as Counterparty’s most updated and functionable wallet

  • Support new and existing users on the Official Counterparty Telegram, while building new FAQ's for current questions and issues

  • Create and publish a monthly newsletter that includes upcoming Developer updates, newest community driven news and relevant Counterparty historical anecdotes

Secondary Task List:

  • Begin pre-production and scheduling of future Counterparty Community Twitter Spaces

  • Start building timeline of historical events in Counterparty to document into an Official Counterparty Timeline on Counterparty.io

  • Reach out to press, independent press, artists and counterparty enthusiasts for coverage and participation in Counterparty updates

  • Continue building out new FAQ pages and more text and video documentation for an easily accessible and educated experience of Counterparty into the future


Primary Job Duties (Communication & Support)

Spend 10-16 hours each week working on Community Support, Documents, FAQ's and Tutorials:

  • Create and present to Devs an official Counterparty FAQ text and video tutorials (similar to robotlovescoffee) for new and existing functions on Counterparty and Freewallet

  • In doing so, merge https://counterparty.io/docs/ and https://docs.counterparty.io/ to one single official and organized landing page

  • Update and Fix https://counterparty.io/support/ and https://counterparty.io/docs/getting-support/ by linking to Official Counterparty Telegram

  • Support new and existing users on Official Counterparty Telegram and other social media by linking them to official docs and tutorials

  • Troubleshoot problems for new and existing users for the creation of up to date documentation on the proper use and risk of Counterparty functions to ease the strain of Counterparty Developers at work

  • Track general user experience of Counterparty and Freewallet for future "ease of use" updates by adding tutorial links in freewallet, more informative display of errors, etc.

  • Make certain to respond to all issues or questions in the Official Counterparty Telegram chat (within a reasonable timeframe)

  • Point new and existing users to primarily use Freewallet.io desktop as it is the most updated and currently supported Counterparty Wallet

Spend 2-4 hours each week working on official Counterparty Community News Updates:

  • Work with Devs to get 'Developer Updates' content for newest releases and recent community feedback

  • Maintain a list of developers, projects, and contact info

  • Engage with Devs to understand upcoming features and be able to explain them in laymen’s terms if and when asked by the community

  • Develop a Community Newsletter once a month published on https://counterparty.io/news/ and social media that outlines latest updates, releases, news, historical token content and future plans for Counterparty updates

  • Present Newsletter draft to Devs for review/edits week before publication

  • Assist with Developers in Social Media release of Community Newsletter topics through short Twitter posts

  • Scout new and interesting projects and tech built in the community using Counterparty functions to engage with on Social Media


Secondary Job Duties (Press and Social Media)

Spend 8-12 hours each week working on Counterparty Twitter Spaces, and Press/Media Management:

Counterparty Twitter and Twitter Spaces

  • Create an Official Counterparty Community Twitter Space once a month

  • Invite and schedule Developers and Historical Counterparty Artists for monthly Twitter Space

  • Advertise on social media prior to meeting.

  • Set general agenda for community space and ensure space stays generally on topic

  • Record the community hangouts and publish for community review

  • Capture minutes and report any relevant issues and topics to Devs

  • Actively post updates, retweet historical Counterparty content and link new FAQ's using Social Media engagement

  • 5-10 engagements per week on Official Twitter

Counterparty Update / Artist / Archaeological Timeline

  • Review blockchain information and develop a "Counterparty Historical Timeline" for historic tokens, projects, and significant Counterparty updates for display on Counterparty.io

  • Establish contact with Artists and Counterparty Archaeologists through Twitter and Telegram for peer review of information and documentation of Historical Counterparty Achievements

  • Spotlight certain achievements for greater community and new users for a broader understanding of Counterparty

  • Present timeline and updates to the timeline to Developers and Community for review and approval

Counterparty Press / Media / Engagement

  • Work with press agencies and independent press to coordinate news stories with accurate and up to date information

  • Establish contacts at various press/media agencies Coindesk.com, cointelegraph.com, news.bitcoin.com, forbes.com, independent journalists (medium.com, youtube, twitter etc), coinjournal.net, newsbtc.com & etc.

  • Provide press/media contact information or Devs upon request


Payment Terms

  • $1000/mo for completion of Primary Job Duties
  • $500/mo for completion of Secondary Job Duties
  • Payment for the work done the previous month is to be paid out the first week of the month.
  • All payments will be made in BTC at a fair market rate of the day with funds from a community funded dispenser BLACKBOX.2023.Community_Outreach_Manager
  • All payments will need to be approved by Developers before being released

Contract Length

The expected length of the contract position is 6 months. This length of time is not binding to either party and may be extended if desired by both parties.

Termination of Agreement

Either party may terminate the agreement by giving 2 weeks notice. If the agreement is terminated before the end of a month, the prorated amount due that month will be paid on the termination date.
