40-hour week

Daily

  • Technical Code Challenge (1 hour)
    • Finish JS assessment challenges
    • Pick one Codewars challenge to finish
  • Technical Interview Prep (2 hours)
    • practice answering questions from the Interview Questions list
    • practice talking about both projects on Resume (good pieces of code)
  • LinkedIn Cold Outreach and Company Research (1 hour)
  • Work on an issue from Code4SocialGood open-source project (2 hours)
  • Work on refactoring old projects (2 hours) (start with newest projects first)
  • Work on portfolio site updates/issues (1 hour)

Bi-Daily

  • Meet up with the homies to work on coding challenges and interview prep
  • Also work on a project together

Weekly

  • Housekeeping (1-2 hours)
  • 1 Blog article (bi-weekly)
  • Review lessons from each module (maybe 2 weeks of lessons each week?)
  • Update Trello Board
  • Meet with Brittany for mock interview/interview prep (need to check on this)

Monthly

  • Participate in a hackathon?

Checklist for calendar

  • Calendar is a written one at home
  • Cut-off Date for a full-time position: ASAP!
  • daily_practice repo => daily coding challenges
  • 3 people to reach out to: Brittany (technical interview prep), Brenna (code review), and Louisa (for design work)
  • Need to improve in all areas of technical interview prep (action steps listed above)
  • Turing portfolio will have 3 projects when I've refactored what I need to in projects
  • I've been constantly updating my LinkedIn profile throughout the mod
  • Barriers might be lack of motivation (which I'll combat by trying to get people together to work together) or the holidays (which I'll combat by working even harder than I have been to stay in touch with contacts)
