Project: Palette Picker
Group Member Names: J. Eduardo Rodriguez & Lacy Rudd
Goals and Expectations for the Project (What does each group member hope to get out of this project? What do we want to achieve as a team? How will we know that we're successful?):
Eduardo: Continuous enpoint practice, serverside testing, connecting frontend and back end. Sticking to PR Templates.
Lacy: Executing backend and testing with an exquisite fe that is well tested. Thoroughly understanding deployment and dealing with CORS. Practice Rebasing. Hitting timeline goals.
Team strengths & collaboration styles (consider discussing your Pairin qualities here):
Eduardo: Flexible when it comes to driver navigator, but prefer to front load project. Not focused on 100% of one thing, but ensuring that every bit of the code base is touched while working on the project.
Flexible on coming in, staying late, etc. Life is Turing.
Lacy: Flexible, agree on frontloading. Ensure a ticket is fully complete, code written, tested, and documentation updated before making a PR.
How we can use our strengths to overcome obstacles:
Eduardo: Being willing to work on new code without being afraid of getting stuck, because partner is available to help.
Lacy: Communication - Feedback that is specific and actionable. ex: If you are stuck, let the other person know sooner than later with details.
Schedule Expectations (When are we available to work together and individually? What constraints do we have?):
Eduardo: Tuesdays: 1 hr with mentor from 415-515 , Thursdays with mentor from 415 to 515. (This Thursday from 1:pm to 530ish)
Otherwise super flexible. Hard cut off time at 1030pm.
Lacy: I prefer not to work on project stuff in the morning or at lunch. Fully committed during worktime until 630 or so every evening. Saturday fully committed to code. Start time 11am at my house.
Sunday reserved for Job Hunt/ Cover Letters.
Communication Expectations (How and often will we communicate? How do we keep lines of communication open? How will we make decisions as a team?):
Eduardo: Communicating everytime a PR is made. Remind each other to take POMS.
Lacy: Communicating on which tickets you take with labels. Daily Checkin every time we start, and quick retro at end of day. Super flexible, call,text, slack, any time. Try to time block.
Workload Expectations (What features do we each want to work on?):
Eduardo: Overall focusing on the learning goals, focusing on backend together.
Lacy: More backend, and practicing with react. Practice testing.
As a team: Although we looooove front end and the design aspect, making this a relative low priority to not take away from the learning goals.
