Other Thoughts: Ordered this motherboard and received it with bent pins, so I RMA'd. Thanks to the Thanksgiving holiday, the replacement board took a while to get to my address. However, once it arrived, no pins were bent and setup went flawlessly.
Cons: Okay so I bought this motherboard for my new rig that I was building and after installing everything onto the motherboard, I had issues powering it up. It started up fine until I did a clean shutdown of the system and after that, power would not boot. I've bought and changed the PSU three times and I still had the same problem. I installed all my parts to a different motherboard and it works like a charm. I know that the motherboard I bought here was damaged somehow. It's probably just my motherboard that I purchased but $200.00 for a motherboard that doesn't even work, I want a replacement for one that works or my money back!
Cons: Got a bad one my first go around so once I built the computer I found out there was a problem with CPU connection on the motherboard so sent it back and been waiting over 10 days now and they still havent even sent me out a new one yet. Pretty disappointed at all point
Cons: No support from aSUS, bent pins, AsUs has a superiority complex, they do no wrong.
Other Thoughts: ASUS used to be a top notch company with great products. Not so much now. They will rarely admit a fault on their part although there are hundreds. They have no quality contol, notice how many bent pin complaints there are on this board alone! Their response? Check your package when it arrives all board are checked before dispatch. Bullmalarky! And Bah!
Other Thoughts: Asus customer support is saying that it is not possible, that all boards are inspected first. There was no damage to the package and it was well packed. What Asus says is absolutely either not true or they better hire some new inspecters. Look at the ratings for this board in the last 2 weeks.
Cons: BENT PIN! I had the board completely installed and my new 2500k in hand, ready to install it. I removed the protective cover for the first time and noticed 1 pin was bent. I decided to put on my big boy pants and was able to straighten the pin and everything works fine. Just really would have sucked because from what I have read, bent pins = out of luck.
Cons: Came to me with bent pins. I tried to straighten them out as best I could since, after reading several reviews on here, I learned the warranty will not cover bent pins (even straight out of the box), but I would get a BSOD every time I tried to install an OS. I ended up RMAing the board and hopefully Newegg takes pity on me.
Cons: -Marvell Controllers do not play well with SSDs
-The cpu pins came bent and when I RMA'd, Newegg had the gall to say I caused it and refused to replace it
Cons: DOA. As soon as I removed the CPU socket cover I noticed the pins did not look right. Closer inspection with a magnifying glass showed 1 bent out out of place and 2 broken. I was able to push the 1 pin back into place with a tiny flathead. There's nothing I can do about the broken ones.
Cons: Found 4 bent CPU socket pins as soon as the protective cover was removed. Out of 1155 pins how many bent or misaligned pins does it take to kill a CPU? That's what I thought too. This is the first time I've had to RMA anything with Newegg, I guess I'll get to see how long this takes.
Other Thoughts: Its too bad it was DOA. waiting on a replacement right now. The prongs for the cpu were bent and wouldnt even turn on.
