- 3C well washed orange lentils
- 3C homemade stock, essential. Chicken is good if you have leftovers
- 2Tsp cumin
- 2 tsp fresh grated ginger
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 0,5tsp chilli powder
- 0,5tsp cayenne powder
- chopped bunch of parsley or coriander
- 1 lemon per person
- a few onions and some garlic loosely chopped
- Ghee or olive oil and plenty of it
Fry onions garlic and seasoning together for a while, get a bit of colour in the onions for the flavour.
Throw in lentils and stock and reduce til simmering.
Stew for 30-60 minutes until it looks yummy.
at the last minute throw in finely chopped herbs.
Serve with lemon wedges, Garlic bread or similar naan or poppadoms ftw.
