- The Typekit Blog - Type study: Hi-DPI web typography by myself. Discusses some type-specific concerns when adapting web design for Retina-class displays, including dealing with overly light typefaces on 1x-resolution screens.
- Karen McGrane's Content Strategy for Mobile from A Book Apart. Discusses adaptive content at some length, including some examples of websites that serve up varied content structures appropriate to each reading context.
- A List Apart - Font Hinting and the Future of Responsive Typography by Nick Sherman. Lots of great practical and conceptual discussion of responsive design techniques, including the insight (originally from Hakon W. Lie) that CSS acts as "presentation hints" for web content, similar to the hinting instructions in fonts.
- A List Apart - Responsive Web Design by Ethan Marcotte. The original article that started it all. Describes the responsive measurement formula for computing percentages and lays out the overall philosophy of RWD. Ethan's A Book Apart title of the same name covers the same topic in much more depth.
- Typekit Blog - Type study: Sizing the legible letter, also by Ethan Marcotte. Discusses typography techniques for responsive web design, including using em and rem units for sizing type instead of fixed pixel measurements.
