Foods for Slow Carb Diet

豆腐/腐竹

No. – Tofu is not allowed on the slow carb diet, except on your Cheat day.

Tofu is not a recommended primary source of protein as recent studies suggest that the estrogen levels found in soy may be harmful to humans.

No tofu? Why not? Slow Carb Diet - Tofu products??

It says specifically: “I discourage consuming any refined soy products, including all soy milk and isolated soy protein supplements." There's also a section thats says that soy contains lots of phytoestrogens, (100mg of soy = 1 birth control pill). It also disrupts your thyroid. So it's less about the diet/carbs than it is about health reasons.

That's only because of the phytoestrogens contained within soy products.

Yes. Fish Oil is allowed, and is a recommended supplement on the slow carb diet.

No.-Canola Oil is not allowed on the slow carb diet, except on your Cheat day.

No.-Tomato Soup is not allowed on the slow carb diet, except on your Cheat day.

Yes. – Peanuts are allowed, in restricted amounts, on the slow carb diet.

Yes. – Sausages (Pork,Beef or Chicken) are allowed, in any amount, on the slow carb diet.
