What is it? Real time event hosting/meetups on the web.
What type of events? We prioritise on short duration events (which we call as bubbles), however, long duration events are also supported. Is events the right word? We use "events" to generalize the model. But events here could be anything like:
- Study sessions
- Mentorship sessions
- Senior - Junior knowledge transfer sessions
- Organising meetups and acquainting with people who share common interests
- Events for social cause
- Unofficial student events like LAN parties, parties, etc.
- Orr… even official ones like club meetings, curtain raisers, auditions, etc.
Events happening where? Events happening in your university and within the student circle.
Well, this is freshly baked just for universty students.
A major problem faced by university students is that they aren’t aware of the events happening around their campus. Events are conveyed through emails in our university’s mailing list along with tons of other spam which we sadly do not “check”. This leads to students missing out on stuff that they would genuinely enjoy if they knew about these events in the first place.
So here's what we are building.
We all know that a bubble's existence has a small lifespan. Keeping that in mind, we figured we could enable a medium where stuff mentioned above can happen. A medium where students can get to know about the current events that are live, upcoming or have missed out. A medium where you're constantly updated with the stuff that's happening around your university. (Icing: You can also check out events that your friends are attending too)
So Bubbles is for making small events and inviting people over to join together and collaborate on stuff that matters the most to you guys.
