JavaScript is the standard language for building web applications that can be accessed and enjoyed by billions of people across the Globe. And, in fact, this easy to learn language has become a force to be reckoned with having an influence sphere well outside mere web-pages.
You will find JavaScript running full-on dynamic mobile and desktop applications, games, servers and even robots! Indeed, JavaScript is a powerful, beautiful and expressive language and it is a great first language to learn to code with.
In this workshop we assume no prior programming skills. You will learn the basics of JavaScript programming by creating your own simple dynamic web application.
No matter what other languages you pick up later on, you will always be able to reference back to the lessons you learned while working, experimenting and playing with JavaScript.
Please note that this event is targeted for Middle School girls and is limited to 15 participants.
