Drive power
It'd be nice to know the power draw on each of 12V and 5V lines for the Toshiba MD04ACA500 TB drive.
It should be the same as the Toshiba HDWE150EZSTA 5TB drive.
All I know is max draw is 11.3W

Ack - looks like the 5TB Toshiba drives do use a lot more power; the 3TB desktop ones appear to have been designed with low power in mind; since both types are 7200 RPMs, the difference in power might be from the difference in the mass of the platters, aerodynamics, electronics draw, etc. Good luck, hopefully you have sufficient power and cooling. At a previous job, when confronted with a decision to move from 4TB 5700/5900 RPM drives to 7200RPM 6TB and 8TB models, we had to go with the HGST Helium filled drives as they were able to match the power draw roughly of the slower spinning disks as the Helium reduced the drag.
