Steps 1-8 were done on ubuntu machine


1. Downloaded http://download.geofabrik.de/north-america/us/florida-latest.osm.bz2
2. Navigated to the folder where downloaded file is present and un archived it
3. Navigated to the folder where osm file is present and started terminal there
4. Run osm2pgsql -s -j -U postgres -d gis florida-latest.osm.pbf
5. Waiting until convertation is finished and open qgis
6. Selected lines layer
7. Opened attribute table
