Retreaver is looking for a someone to help us lead the Dev-Ops side of our business: designing and optimizing the systems side of our software, managing AWS, hardening our security and Linux servers, scaling servers, improving production deployment processes, and monitoring our web services and the APIs.
Work on a system that coordinates millions of phone calls, both connecting the calls via 3rd party APIs (for ex Twilio) and tracking various data points via Retreaver.js running directly on customers landing pages. We pride ourselves on providing a stable, reliable service which ultimately relies on having a high quality server operations.
- AWS knowledge and other Amazon cloud platforms (RDS, S3)
- Deep understanding of Linux (Debian variants)
- Nginx configuration
- Familiar with error monitoring tools (ie, New Relic, Sentry, etc)
- Setting up analytics and performance tracking
- Familiar with connecting APIs and status monitoring
- Information security / hacking
- Familiar with using MacOS for development
- Vagrant and Docker knowledge is a plus
- Ruby on Rails development experience
- Ideally junior level or higher with Ruby at on Rails
- Automating deployments with Capistrano or Ansible
- Familiar with Node.js/JS and tracking browser errors
- Familiar with using CDNs
- Can solve problems with scaling asynchronous services
- A hacker mindset
Retreaver is a software-as-a-service product for connecting and tracking phone calls with intelligent routing, data analytics, and reporting which help automate pay-per-call processes which underpin many modern businesses.
We run a small competent team of developers and technical sales staff who wear multiple hats. Our company is growing and was founded by a software engineer who built the original product. We try to limit our meetings to twice a week. If this sounds like a place you want to work good, get in touch.
