Grab ffmpeg from https://www.ffmpeg.org/download.html
It's a command line tool which means you will have to type things with your keyboard instead of clicking on buttons.
The most trivial operation would be converting gifs:
ffmpeg -i your_gif.gif -c:v libvpx -crf 12 -b:v 500K output.webm
-crfvalues can go from 4 to 63. Lower values mean better quality.-b:vis the maximum allowed bitrate. Higher means better quality.
This is what we did to setup a few dashboards at platanus
- Raspberry Pi
- Dashing Service
- Wifi stick (optional)
Here are a few example use cases, these use cases combine filter with other parameters to make useful API queries. The syntax for any of this may change between now, implementation, and release - they're meant as illustrative examples :)
api.posts.browse({filter: "tags:[photo, video] + id:-5", limit="3"});
GET /api/posts?filter=tags%3A%5Bphoto%2Cvideo%5D%2Bid%3A-5&limit=3
