The Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense is a great starter board. It has an ARM Cortex M4 processor and a ton of sensors, including a 9-axis IMU, temperature and humidity sensors, a microphone, and more. It also supports Bluetooth and is programmable using a standard Micro USB cable.
