I'm seeing the same issue here (found this from the Arch wiki.) You're not alone. Is there a more formal discussion going on somewhere?

Did you ever find a fix or even a workaround for this? It's happening more and more frequently for me. Very frustrating :(

+1, find it aggregating, especially considering can no longer swap out for an Intel card

I ended up changing sleep for hibernate. Seems to be working fine so far.

I did not find a cure against this. But now I think back to this, I think it hasn't happened anymore since a couple of monhts.

The last reported crash om my laptop was on 5 March 2018. 7 March, the next linux update booted, which was Linux version 4.15.7-1-ARCH (builduser@heftig-14534) (gcc version 7.3.0 (GCC)) #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Feb 28 19:01:57 UTC 2018.

It's still happening for me on 4.16.13-1-MANJARO. Weirdly, I think it may only happen when plugged in to the charger. I just had the issue, usually toggling sleep fixes it, but it wasn't this time. I unplugged from the charger and it worked the first time I slept / woke up. So maybe that's somehow related?

A friend of mine also seems to have problems still, and he has a recent linux version afaik.
