2.8.15 - D&D - Phandalin
Stonekeeper Inn:
gold farmer
bar maid, gossipy
miner
weaver
wife and son
innkeeper
Group has been asked to look for: Gundren Rockseeker
Maid gossips: Daran Edermath: orchard keeper here in town, former adventurer
Farmer sipping on drink - Sister Garaele, Cleric who oversees the Shrine of Luck. Left town for a few days and then returned wounded and exhausted.
Sister Garaele, young elf. Tells me there's a problem in this town. Local Gang called the Redbrands. Causing big problems. Murdered one of the residents: Thel Dendrar. His wife and 2 kids were kidnapped to the best knowledge of town gossip. Redbrands: hang out at Sleeping Giant.
Information gathering at request and buying Mut beer the night previous got me trust and I've joined the party, although Girdus told me [Steve’s character] would be watching me.
We decide to check the Gang out.
We find out that Thel’s family got taken by the Rebrands - killed Thel and took mother and children.
We got location for Sleeping Giant. Heard rumors about a boss called Glassstaff. Daran Edermath should be the dude to talk to. Orchard on the north west side of town.
Orchard filled with apple trees with a tiny cottage. In the yard, in between orchard and trees is a fit, silver haired elf that looks to be 100 yrs+.
Girdus approaches, asks his name, etc.
Redbrands hang out around Sleeping Giant and they have a base. Edermath would appreciate us taking them out.
Resdendar Manor - base. On top of a hill on the east side of town. Also heard about a boy that's been spreading rumors, but hasn't gotten to look into it yet. Saw some Redbrands in the woods - minimal info regarding that.
Recommends that we should go to the Sleeping Giant. We head that way.
They aren't super happy to see us. Battle.
We win the battle and capture one guy. Captives are being held near the old crypt, in the base that they have situated underneath the manor of their home base Resdendar Manor. Leader is a human wizard known is Glassstaff. Staff is made of glass, magical glass - not easy to break. Chambers are in west end of stronghold.
Mut cuts off the captives head, and attaches it to his belt. We investigate for loot and get XP.
We all level and have to deal with that next time.
