Paul Heckel's Diff Algorithm

[Isolating Differences Between Files][paper]

Advantage over Other Algorithms

The diff output is more specific:

[I]f a whole block of text is moved, then all of it, rather than just the beginning and end, is detected as changed.

>The algorithm described here avoids these difficulties. It detects differences that correspond very closely to our intuitive notion of difference.

A simple shell script to quickly / easily install "pacaur" on archlinux
#!/bin/sh
#
# !!! IMPORTANT !!!
# As of 2017-12-14, pacaur is unmaintained (https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1755144#p1755144)
# For alternatives see the arch wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AUR_helpers#Active
# pacaur seems to get occasional updates to fix breaking changes due to pacman updates though.
#
# If you are new to arch, I encourage you to at least read and understand what
# this script does befor blindley running it.
# That's why I didn't make a one-liner out of it so you have an easier time

Simple automated GIT Deployment using Hooks

Simple automated GIT Deployment using GIT Hooks

Here are the simple steps needed to create a deployment from your local GIT repository to a server based on this in-depth tutorial.

How it works

You are developing in a working-copy on your local machine, lets say on the master branch. Most of the time, people would push code to a remote server like github.com or gitlab.com and pull or export it to a production server. Or you use a service like deepl.io to act upon a Web-Hook that's triggered that service.
