- Entering Root-Me URL: The URL for the Root-Me platform was entered into the Wayback Machine's search bar to retrieve archived snapshots.
- Selecting October 18, 2014: The calendar feature of the Wayback Machine was used to navigate to October 18, 2014, to access the archived snapshot of the Root-Me website.
- Extracting Information: Once the archived snapshot was loaded, the relevant information regarding the number of challenges, virtual machines, and solutions was located on the Root-Me platform.
