To create inclusive services within the home office for all citizens.
- Provide a technical team of people to help review your service
- Accessibility auditing
- Include accessibility auditing in the mock service assesments
- Show and tell on user research (AD, accessibility)
- Screen reader workshops
- What out of the box tools do we have which are currently accessible? (aria-typeahead, etc)
- Accessibility should be included in the induction process (do we have a induction process?)
- Create an available resource (gh-pages) for accessibility within the Home Office.
- Educationg everyone to consider accessibility auditing to be part of a release cycle.
Our goal is to try and deliver these changes in 3 phases each phase lasting 3-6 months (we could do with some help here)
Have a central location, perhaps similar to the govuk design hackpad for accessibility patterns and research. It would be really nice if we could create an area to share videos recorded during reserach sessions.
