Frequently Asked Questions for recruitment

Frequently Asked Questions or: FAQ

Freelancers, SysOps people, Devops practitioners, IT crowd people. We tend to attract recruiters. In some cases a lot of recruiters.

This is not a bad thing! In fact I would say we are in a very luxurious position if we attract so much attention right?

But answering so many calls and emails with the same questions can take away time from the actual work day! So to speed things up, here are my Frequently Asked Questions:

0. Price

That always depends on the project at hand. We all move with the market-rates.

1. How many hours per week would you like to work

I've always done 40. But I would like to try something else if you have that desire though!

2. How long would you like to travel

It's a Work from home world now! 100% remote with the occasional visit to a "office" for various reasons. But not by default. Better for the environment!

3. BYOD?

I'd prefer not to work on a Windows/Mac Desktop. The nature of my work simply makes it much easier/faster to work on a Linux desktop (For me at least). So if at all possible I'd very much like to work on my own laptop (Screen, keyboard, mouse, accessories) on which I can work very effectively ;-)

4. Hours

In a WFH world working hours don't really matter anymore. I'm accesible, and working within 07:00 to 18:00

Ofcourse, when the job calls for more time, or more irregular hours; that's fine. I will charge extra for irregluar hours though.

P.S.

These are things I would like. My LinkedIn page shows what I bring to the table knowledge-wise and by all means: Tell me what you need/like from me.
