Project: Hang in there poster project

Members: Horacio Borrego, Edwin Montealvo

  • Goals & Expectations: Increase our ability to use objects effectively. Learn to Pair and collaborate effectively. We will know if we are succesful if we finish all the iterations and are able to earn a 3.

  • Collaboration Styles & Strengths and Weaknesses: A balance of paired and individual contributions that would look like writing some code, having it reviewed by partner and refactoring together.

  • Overcoming Obstacles: We are both commited to finding the best approach to problems and recognize that this is better achieved when ideas are shared openly.

  • Schedule Expectations: Monday 7-8pm Horacio meets with Mentor. Edwin likes to take 6-8pm to himself. There may be some other mentor meet up scheduled, but should be easily worked around. Schedule a daily hour to work together, after which work through some stuff individually.

  • Comunications Expectations: Be responsive to each other's messages. Talk decision through, and decide the best course of action. We're both pretty open... Don't be afraid to reach out/ mention having a bad day. Don't struggle on your own!

  • Abilities & Growth Expectation: Again solidify our use of objects throughout scripts, and improve our ability to use functions dynamically.

  • Workload expectation: If possible, we would like to both touch all features of the projects. We are confident that the project is expansive enough to do this. We are touching base everyday, so work will be eqully shared.

  • Workflow expectations: Code Reviews!!!! Review pull request, together for the first few times. The first few cycles of the workflow we will run through together to establish a standardized proccess that we both are familiar with.

  • Pomodoro Break schedule: Check in with one another. Don't be afraid to ask for a break. Work in stints of 20-30 mins.

  • Feedback expectations: Be open, no need for it to be personal. Feedback is always welcomed and should be encouraged.

  • Additional Expectation: Communicate if any issues arise, especially technical and the such.

We will use GitHub Projects to manage our project, progress, and workflow.

Day 1 Agenda: Get the main page working, pictures loading, etc. Iteration 0.
