On Making Rapid Response Sites

On Making Rapid Response Sites

Reasoning

  • We are living in unprecedented times.
  • We need a way to quickly mobilize (and contextualize) folx.
  • The world is literally a steaming pile of garbage.
  • Fuck capitalism, colonialism, and the state. End domination.

First Iteration

  • Started with a pile of HTML (see this repo)
  • This is great for quick stuff. Easy to deploy on Netlify as a standalone static site.

Current Issues

  • Rapid changes in events, situations, etc. make it impossible to keep timely.
  • Adding an HTML page is tedious.

Solutions - currently working on

  • Create a site template.
  • Create a default site css style.
  • Create a basic deploy booklet/digital zine for groups to eliminate bottlenecks
