Grandma's chocolate bread

2 cups of flour, sifted with:
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 heaped tablespoon cocoa
1 level teaspoon baking powder
1 level tspn soda
Put in blender 1 cup dates (check for stones),
1 tablespoon butter,
1 cup hot water that has had 1 teaspoon of instant coffee dissolved in it (optional) and leave afew minutes.
Add 3/4 cup sugar and blend for a minute or so.
Add 2 eggs and blend again.
Stir into flour mix and turn into two tins.
Bake 350 degrees about 35 minutes.
(Better stir sugar in with flour. Also, can replace white sugar with brown - 1 1/2 cups loosely packed)
