This is incorrect. The following works for me:

#include <stdio.h>
#include <sys/auxv.h>

int main(int argc, char **argv) {
  uintptr_t base = getauxval(AT_SYSINFO_EHDR);

  FILE *f = fopen("vdso.bin", "w");
  fwrite((const void *)base, 4096, 1, f);

}
