#####Why you want to connect with this person and what you want to talk about?
I am going to connect with Ciara Bujanos. She is a former colleague of mine and also graduated Turing. I want to talk to her about her approach to job searching during Mods 3 and 4 because she was able to graduate with a job. I also want to talk to her about her experiences in her current role.
#####When you will contact them by and how you plan to meet?
I will reach out to her after the holidays and get a sense of what her schedule is like over the next few weeks to see what availabilty she has. Ideally, I could meet during the intermission, otherwise I will try to schedule time after school to meet.
#####What your follow-up will look like once you've met with them?
After meeting I will send a thank you note/email and see if there are opportunities to meet again as I progress farther in Turing. I also want to see if there is an opportunity to job shadow to get a sense of what her day to day is like and to see a different environment re: culture, workspace, etc.
#####What other steps will you take to start building a stronger network in the tech community?
I want to try to carve out some time once a week starting in Mod 3 to go to a networking event or meet up to get more reps with telling my professional story, making contacts in the Denver tech community and see what opportunities exits.
