Just tried. I created a folder 'tado' and did add the file. Restart of HA, but still an issue. What di I do wrong?

You need to copy the entire source code of Tado to the custom components. It requires all the files needed to act as a custom component, specifaclly pay attention to the manifest.json.

Also, keep in mind that a revert of PyTado 0.16 is being reviewed. Meaning that in a next release of HA, it should be operational again.

Thx. I'll get on it. Waiting for the next HA release is no option for me. I guess i's about 1 month between 2 releases.

I guess I need more instructions since only adding those files in the folder and a restart isn't helping. Is there a guide to install the custom component and what if there is a new release of HA, shall it be removed again...a clear and full step process would be nice to have.

From what I understood it should be within a few days. HA updates rather frequently nowadays.
