One mistake found: Psalm 54 has 9 verses, not 7, as stated here.

@chakpori Probably depends on the version you're working with. Versification schemes vary between versions, especially in the Psalms. ESV has 7 verses in Psalm 54. In fact, so does KJV.

I'm curious, what version are you working in? :)

The KJV I'm using has 9 verses, maybe yours follow up closely the LXX Greek version, as well ad the Syriac, which have, indeed 7, instead of 9 - despite of the fact that the LXX I'm using has both divisions. Here, I'm using, in comparison, the Hebrew Bible as my reference, as well as the Vulgate, Almeida, Reina-Valera, Louis Segond, Diodati etc., and you reminded me that such a phenomenon of having 2 verses more, when you compare with the Hebrew Bible, occurs also with Psalms 51, 52, and 60, together with 54. This is quite interesting, actually

The KJV has been around a few years, so I wouldn't be surprised if there were competing versification systems by now. 😁

There are quite a few differences in versification between ESV and KJV, mostly in the Psalms. Most notably, the KJV counts Psalm titles (e.g. "A Psalm of David") as v. 1, while the ESV does not. I've noticed other differences over the years.

I don't know off-hand the heritage of the ESV's versification system. The differences are really annoying when following lectionaries. 😆
