This is a *nix script.
Looks like you are trying to run this on Windows. Try this:
docker run -ti -v ${PWD}:/tmp DOCKER_IMAGE /bin/bash
For Windows that would be docker run --rm -it -v "%cd%":/tmp DOCKER_IMAGE /bin/bash
