GitHub Domain Verification Steps
1. go to your organization settings
2. set the url under profile then click update
3. go to verified domain section and click Add a domain
4. enter the same url
5. GitHub shows you this message:
Add a DNS TXT record
Create a TXT record in your DNS configuration for _github-challenge-YOURORGANIZATIONNAME.YOURDOMAIN.
Use this code as the value for the TXT record:
YOUR VERIFICATION CODE
Note: this code will expire in 7 days.
Wait until your DNS configuration changes. This could take up to 72 hours.
6. go to your domain provider dns panel
7. click to add a new record
Record Type
TXT
Name
_github-challenge-YOURORGANIZATIONNAME.YOURDOMAIN.
Value
YOUR VERIFICATION CODE
TTL
leave it as default or you may enter 3600
then save it
8. go back to GitHub and click Verify
* If verification fails then check every steps. Mostly when everything is correct it happens immediately.
