Apparently, the classic Star Trek Deep Space Nine Harbinger geme can be played on Mac OS using DosBox as follows.

Install

• Install DosBox using Homebrew Cask: brew cask install dosbox
• Download DS9 Harbinger from the internet archive:
  • https://archive.org/details/Star_Trek_-_Deep_Space_Nine_-_Harbinger_v1.0_1996_Viacom_New_Media
  • https://archive.org/download/Star_Trek_-_Deep_Space_Nine_-_Harbinger_v1.0_1996_Viacom_New_Media/Star_Trek_-_Deep_Space_Nine_-_Harbinger_v1.0_1996_Viacom_New_Media_archive.torrent
• Mount the image, e.g. to /Volumes/diskone.
• Create a main dos drive folder, e.g. ~/dos_c
• Launch DosBox application
• Execute as follows:

# dos box

mount c ~/dos_c
mount d /Volumes/diskone -t cdrom

d:
install.exe

Hi Sebastian,

I came across your email address on Google Play Store. I hope I'm not bothering you but I'm wondering if you could help with the install of DS9 Harbinger on Mac. I tried following the instructions you posted on github but it's a little complicated for me.

By any chance could you give me more detailed instructions? I can get as far as creating a folder for the game in my home folder. I can then mount the c: and was able to run the install.exe. It said the game was installed and I should open the directory and type DS9 to launch the game, but I get an error about an illegal action and nothing happens.

I'm not very good with DOS so any further help you could give me would be great. THANK YOU!

ds9 harbinger was a great game!
I just tried out to reinstall it :)
