1. Get on https://www.remotepc.com/ and sign up for a paid account (for 1 year, this should cost you less than $39.50 – you
can use this for unlimited Respondus Lockdown Browser exams so this is a steal of a deal – sometimes they have amazing sales
that bring the prices way down).

2. Once you’ve created the account on RemotePC and paid for it. Download RemotePC software to your computer and create a
device specific password for remote access.

3. Connect remotely to your computer from another device (this can be a tablet/computer) – this is the computer the real exam
taker (a friend/someone you trust) will be taking the exam from.

4. You can now start Respondus Lockdown Browser and start your exam – your friend will be connected from the remote computer.
Respondus Lockdown Browser cannot see RemotePC running (again, this is because Respondus developers are so cheap they can’t
even get authorization to pay for this software and figure out how this works). From the remote computer your friend can
simply google the questions and answer them (while you remain on camera), or your friend can look up the answers from a
textbook and get you an awesome score.

5. After the exam is over be sure to uninstall RemotePC and Respondus Lockdown browser from your computer.

Another note: Often times schools/professors allow you to do demo lockdown browser exams. If this option is available to you
you should do trial runs at least twice to confirm the method is working before starting the exam. Also, make sure you and
the actual exam taker have fast internet connections.
