Notes

Vol 2

Bridging

  • Don’t bridge up, bridge sideways
  • Pivot over your head and look back
  • use the elbow of the arm trapping the gi under the arm pit to trap the knee
  • when you’re rolling over, use your foot on the same side to trap the leg
  • pay attention to the different modes of resistance
Resistance in same side of the trapped arm
  • use the head pivot to get extra motion range
Resistance on the opposite side
  • use the arm pit hand to grab the collar and bring it to the head to the other side

Misdirection

  • Bridge to the same side of the trapped arm then catch the arm that goes across your face with the arm pit arm. Use the other arm to trap the back and then roll
  • Bridge to the side opposite to the trapped arm and upa until you can trap the arm, then do the same thing.
