BOOK 1
In "Father Watson's Questions," Father Watson is called upon to investigate a series of strange occurrences at a remote monastery. As he delves deeper into the case, he finds himself confronted with a series of puzzles and riddles that challenge his skills as an investigator. With the help of his keen intellect and faith, Father Watson sets out to solve the mystery, piecing together clues and unraveling a sinister plot that threatens the very foundations of the monastery. Along the way, he must confront his own doubts and fears as he struggles to bring the truth to light. Will Father Watson be able to solve the mystery in time, or will the darkness consume him?
BOOK 2
In "The Professor's Red Pen," Father Watson is called upon to investigate a murder at a prestigious university. The victim, a highly respected professor of literature, was found dead in his office, bludgeoned to death with a red pen.
As Father Watson delves deeper into the case, he discovers a web of deception and betrayal among the faculty and students. The victim had recently uncovered a plagiarism ring, and it seems that someone was willing to go to great lengths to keep the truth from coming out.
With the help of a bright young student who was a protégé of the victim and a detective who has long admired him ,Father Watson follows a trail of clues that takes him from the ivy-covered walls of the university to the seedier parts of the city. Along the way, he confronts his own doubts and temptations, as he struggles to reconcile his duty to the Church with his desire for justice.
As the investigation comes to a close, Father Watson discovers that the murderer is not who he expected, and the twist ending will shock the readers and leave them with deep thoughts.
As always, "The Professor's Red Pen" showcases Father Watson's unshakable faith and quick wit, as he uses them to navigate the complex world of crime and deceit and ultimately uncover the truth.
BOOK 3
"Appetite for Invention" sees Father Watson investigating a string of high-profile thefts at local restaurants and gourmet food stores. The thief, who calls themselves the "Foodie Bandit," is stealing only the most rare and valuable ingredients, leaving the police and business owners baffled as to their motive.
As Father Watson delves deeper into the case, he discovers a connection between the Foodie Bandit's victims and a prestigious culinary competition, "The Golden Platter," where the missing ingredients were to be featured. With the competition rapidly approaching and tensions running high among the competitors, Father Watson must navigate a cutthroat world of culinary ambition and deceit to find the culprit.
As the competition heats up, and more ingredient disappear, Father Watson begins to suspect that one of the competing chefs is behind the thefts. He uses his skills of observation and deduction to gather evidence and interview suspects, but he also infuses his faith to guide his moral compass, navigating through the complex personal relationships, greed and hidden agendas of the competitive culinary world.
With time running out and the Foodie Bandit striking ever closer to the competition, Father Watson races to uncover the truth and bring the thief to justice. But as the evidence begins to point towards an unlikely suspect, he is forced to question everything he thought he knew about the case and the people involved. "Alliteration Annihilation" follows Father Watson as he investigates a series of bizarre and perplexing crimes that all share one striking similarity: they all involve alliteration in the names of the victims and locations. With the help of his trusted confidante, Sergeant Sarah Smith, and his keen powers of observation and deduction, Father Watson delves into the seedy underbelly of the city, unearthing secrets and lies at every turn. But as the clues begin to point towards a shocking and unexpected suspect, Father Watson finds his faith and morality put to the ultimate test. As Father Watson delves deeper into the case, he discovers that the project is tied to a larger conspiracy involving embezzlement and intellectual property theft. With the help of his trusted associates, he uncovers a web of deception and betrayal, all while confronting his own personal demons, specifically his deep-seated fear of cormorants, which comes up in few of the scenes.
As the mystery unfolds, Father Watson must use his wit and wisdom to unravel the truth and bring the culprits to justice. "Dev Process" is a thrilling and engaging new addition to the Father Watson series, with plenty of twists and turns to keep readers guessing until the very end.
