What have you learned about the use of agile vs. waterfall in software projects?
Waterfall is more expensive, and involves a front loading of expenses. Seems better used in large corporations with large budgets.
Many projects dont get past the development stage and QA gets paid very little. Agile is lesser chance for costs to skyrocket and is implemented
with feedback in the end. Greater chance of having revenue at the beginning of implmentation since initial development is implemented faster.
How did you and your group approach project management in this project
(what tools did you use, how did you hold each other accountable, etc.)?
We had a DTR in the beginning and laid out our expectations. Communication was always open and each partner had specific tasks.
At the same time, each of us worked together with different drivers during specific problem solving.
What role did you take on in the project?
During HTML and CSS structure we worked together as a team. With javascript, we would work work as a group during day and give specific tasks
for the night.
What changes would you make to your approach in future team projects?
I would continue to work on Github workflow.
How does retro function in a team project?
Retro is great for introspection as a group. It was great for us to evaluate our group dynamic in current time and offer changes.
In your team retro, how did you engage in the feedback process? What principles of feedback did you use in these conversations?
We were very open to feedback and each partner got an opportunity to voice their opinion.
How would you describe your ability to communicate feedback? How has this experience affected your communication skills?
How do you want to improve in your ability to communicate feedback?
I'm very positive in my feedback method but also pointing to issues that I would see or believe should change. After both group projects, its been
a great experience for learning how to communicate and work together as a team.
