Install OpenWrt on TP-Link TL-MR6400 V4

1. Download OpenWrt firmware image here.

2. Flash your router using this guide.

3. SSH into your router: ssh root@192.168.1.1.

4. Add a new interface in /etc/config/network.

  	option device 'switch0'
 	option vlan '2'
 	option ports '4 6t'

+	option proto 'modemmanager'
+	option device '/sys/devices/platform/101c0000.ehci/usb1/1-1'
+	option apn 'internet'
+	option pincode '0000'
+	option username 'web'
+	option password 'web'

5. Get the path of your device from mmcli -m 0. Do not use /dev/cdc-wdm0.

6. Add the newly added interface in /etc/config/firewall.

 config zone
 	option name		wan
 	list   network		'wan'
 	list   network		'wan6'
+	list   network		'vodafone'
 	option input		REJECT
 	option output		ACCEPT
 	option forward		REJECT

7. Reboot your router: reboot.

8. Enjoy!

I tried this on TP-Link TL-MR6400 V5 but had no success, because of insufficient drive space to install the package "modemmanager".

So here are my steps using QMI and the simple LuCI configuration interface.

Hi, can you help me to add 2 packages iptables-mod-ipopt & kmod-ipt-ipopt to openwrt firmware? Your firmware builds very well but I can't install the above 2 packages, it's not compatible
