The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and growing our infrastructure.
Using tools like Saltstack, Hashicorp products (Terraform, Nomad, Vault, Consult) on AWS,
you'll help us automate our configuration and deployment of systems as we roll out the next generation of data services for our Platform (Kafka, Druid, Elasticsearch)
We maintain a customer-facing Security Integration platform, our mission is to build a data platform that integrates all the Cisco Security Product features into a single uniform API.
Our team is distributed across North America and Europe.

A proven development background is needed as we move towards automating our infrastructure's management.
- 5+ years' experience in systems administration of enterprise-grade cloud and datacenter based infrastructure
- Familiarity with Hashicorp products, Saltstack and Git
- Mastering the management of large Elasticsearch, Redis and PostgreSQL deployments
- Experience deploying Kafka at scale
- Proficiency with source code control systems
- Proficiency in writing/extending automation tools in Python or Shell
- Experience in system administration tools and troubleshooting
- Expertise in Linux, experience in OS X
- Proficiency in infrastructure and service monitoring tools
- Proficiency in networking concepts including VPNs, firewalls, routing, NAT
- Awareness of general DevOps concepts and practices
- Ability to efficiently respond to interrupt-driven tasks such as production issues and external team requests
- Ability to independently work on a subset of tasks as part of road-mapped projects
- Ability to function within a team structure and effectively communicate status to project stakeholders
