Parallels 15 also has a /Library/Preferences/Parallels/licenses.json
try deleting that. I deleted both and was able to restart trial

How exactly did you do that? Application writes: "We cannot offer you a new trial because a trial period has already been requested from this mac." I also tried to delete the whole folder, create a new account but still can't do it. Of course I also deleted: /licenses.json

I tried: 1. I installed a new version
2. I deleted files: rm /private/var/root/Library/Preferences/com.parallels.desktop.plist /Library/Preferences/Parallels/licenses.json (of course I have rights to delete)
3. I created a new account through paralles
4. I was logged in and reported that I had tried

I've deleted all files on folder /Library/Preferences/Parallels/* but It's still showing the message "We cannot offer you a new trial because a trial period has already been requested from this mac."

I added the line "rm /Library/Preferences/Parallels/licenses.json" to the script, as @zakk4223 mentioned.

1.)Download up to date version of Parallels
2.)Execute script
3.)Install Parallels Desktop 15
4.)Use your already registered account (mail & pw)

Worked for me with Catalina 10.15.2 and Parallels 15.1.2 Build 47123

Ok, so basically I wanted to have Windows to be able to play Magic the Gatering Arena since it's not available (yet) on Mac.

So the best alternative solution I found is this one.

  1. I bought an external SSD USB-C (28$) --> https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/32843026641.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.72557981KIH4Ce&algo_pvid=08d962c7-ed75-4e62-9bfa-8406320ad962&algo_expid=08d962c7-ed75-4e62-9bfa-8406320ad962-12&btsid=0ab6d70515832348518938485e53a5&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_,searchweb201603_

  2. I installed windows on the external SDD following these instructions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfcNR2l7ios

  3. It runs smoothly and quickly.

I hope I could help someone !

If you you are not need in full Windows, you can use Wine instead.

Wine (originally an acronym for "Wine Is Not an Emulator") is a compatibility layer capable of running Windows applications on several POSIX-compliant operating systems, such as Linux, macOS, & BSD. Instead of simulating internal Windows logic like a virtual machine or emulator, Wine translates Windows API calls into POSIX calls on-the-fly, eliminating the performance and memory penalties of other methods and allowing you to cleanly integrate Windows applications into your desktop.

I want to play in Stronghold Crusade and it works great for me!

This worked by performing the mentioned steps and then changing the system date to February. chmod was giving permission denied on some files which can be fixed by switching to root user using command sudo su. You might not even need to chmod after switching to root and directly execute all the rm commands.

I can execute the script and delete all without a problem, when I run the parallels 16.5, run as it is the first time, but when I click in "trial" this label popup:
"We cannot offer you a new trial because a trial period has already been requested from this Mac. The previous trial has expired."

Someone know, I have Intel Mac and BigSur.
