  • Ricardo - Looking to write the backend in rails. Stretch - web sockets and micro services
  • Travis - Looking React/Redux for the front end. Stretch - use rebase workflow, possibly implement react hooks

Team strengths & collaboration styles (consider discussing your Pairin qualities here):

  • R & T - Prefers pairing, communicates constantly and effectively, utilizes slack, PRs, etc.

How we can use our strengths to overcome obstacles:

  • R - Good at reading the docs
  • T - Good at working through errors

Schedule Expectations (When are we available to work together and individually? What constraints do we have?):

  • R - Daily here by 8, out by 7...jobs @ towards end of the day. WE - Sat ok, Sun no
  • T - Daily here by 7, out by 7...jobs @ 7 - 8. WE - Sat ok, Sun...off?

Communication Expectations (How and often will we communicate? How do we keep lines of communication open? How will we make decisions as a team?):

  • R & T - Same as above, talk early and often

Abilities & Growth Expectations (Technical strengths and areas for desired improvement):

  • R - I would like to improve on Javascript and being able to serve it on an endpoint. Rails, getting better with Rspec for testing and the web sockets
  • T - I would like improve the intuitive design of the site over my last projects

Workload Expectations (What features do we each want to work on?):

  • R - Mostly on the backend
  • T - Mostly on the frontend

Workflow Expectations (Git workflow/Tools/Code Review/Reviewing Pull Requests/Debugging and Problem-solving Techniques):

  • R & T - Stay in constant communication for workflow, slack messages and PR reviews

Expectations for giving and receiving feedback:

Project management tools we will use: Github issues, Github projects, Travis CI, Waffle?, PR reviews, Slack, Notion, Stoplight
