How to deal with a Google Pixel with a broken power button

To power off the phone

Long press the new floating power icon on the right side of the screen

To power on the phone

  • Hold the volume down button
  • While holding the button, plug the Pixel into your computer
  • The Pixel will turn on to the bootloader screen
  • Since the power button isn't working you can't select the option to power on the phone from the menu so instead run fastboot reboot
  • The phone will now power on and you can unplug the cable

To unlock/wake the phone
