I can learn quickly. Learning ocaml and elm are proof.

Here's what I learned about schema migration in a postgres production environment:

• if we're set on a relational database, here's how I would migrate in a production environment without downtime
• if we expect frequent schema changes, are considering data denormalization due to slow joins, and our data size is large, I would consider a nosql approach:
  • it handles schema changes easily
  • it scales horizontally gracefully
