This is how New Relic follows up on their trials
This was sent by a New Relic account executive to one of my co-workers as a
follow-up to the trial. Generally speaking, it's a good idea to not patronise
your potential customers. There's no room for more than a single dot in a
business e-mail. Use a spell-checker for your e-mails if you can't spell. Write
in clear English. What do you think?
Hello <name>,
I hope you had a good weekend. It's unfortunate you didn't throw more Apps
and Servers up to test with New Relic....you really don't have much traffic
with the Master App.
I haven't heard from you the whole trial. Is it safe to say you're not
pursing the Pro Edition? Standard and Lite are quite "gutted"....meaning
you'll be alerted on the problem but can't fix it.
Kind Regards,
Greg Johnston Account Executive New Relic, Inc.

A second exchange of e-mails in reply to something along the lines "Thank you but we're mostly node.js and you're a bit pricey".

I couldn't be making this up even if I wanted to!

Sounds good <name>,

Our pricing is actually very fair. A On-Premise solution will run you in the
100k range with similar technology.

We come from On-Premise and brought APM to SAAS. A typical deal with similar
metrics is 100 to 200k (thousand) with On-Prem, New Reilc is 70 to 80% less in
a typical On-Prem vs SAAS model. Our CEO sold Wily Technology for 400 Million
to CA Technoliges.

Now we have SAAS and were worth more than Wily in 3 years, selling more and
growing like an out of control Tornado :) We grew 400% in 2011 and hope to
double that in 2012.

Good luck with your endeavors.

Cheers,

Greg Johnston Account Executive
